Virginia Public Radio is reporting that the Virginia American Civil Liberties Union does NOT support Governor McAuliffe's veto of SB 948. SB948 is Senator Stuart's bill that prohibits Virginia sharing CHP holder information with states that do not honor Virginia CHPs - like Maryland, DC, New York, etc.

The ACLU sees SB 948 for what it is - a protection of the privacy, rights, and liberties of Virginia's gun owners.

The Veto Override session is THIS Wednesday!

If SB 948 is to survive, we need to send a lot of emails in support of overriding the veto. Please send the following pre-written emails to your Senator and Delegate. EVEN IF YOUR LEGISLATOR IS NORMALLY ANTI-GUN, the ACLU's support might sway them from a civil-rights standpoint.
