A few weeks ago Obama said that “Yemen was a model of success” and now, not only have we had to remove our Embassy from there, but have had to evacuate all of our troops from there, doesn’t this make you wonder where Obamas brains are at?
Since Obama has been in office the turmoil in the Middle East has not only gotten worse than it’s ever been, but Syria is in a civil war with ISIS, ISIS is trying to take control of all of Iraq, and Iran is attempting to gain more and more influence in Iraq, Yemen and Syria. The whole area is a powder keg just waiting for the match to set it off.
With Obamas lack of a foreign policy and giving assistance to Iran, what’s going to happen if Iran obtains a nuclear weapon? I can see Saudi Araba and all of the other countries over their push to obtain their own Nuclear weapon capabilities.
How can Obama & Kerry even attempt to say, the nuclear talks with Iran are progressing towards a general agreement, when at the very same time Iran’s spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is saying, “Death to America”, it’s as if Obama & Kerry by wishing for something different and being really nice these people that are hell bent on destroying not only us but also Israel will make a difference. Why can’t understand that mere wishing and being nice isn’t going to cut it.
Bottom line is, it’s all a big wet mess over there and Obama isn’t up to the task to handle it and never will be. He’s out of his league and over his head, and this isn’t the only area that he’s been lacking as a president, it’s just that this one with Iran, right now, is the most urgent to the future of America, Israel and the world.

Re: Obama’s Middle East Problem
Maybe the Emperor doesn't see it as a problem. I suspect that, in his eyes, he HAS been successful.
Remember, Emperor Soetoro hates the United States. His goal is to destroy the nation. He would have to be inconceivably stupid to believe that he has been doing what's best for the country for the past few years. But, if he was that mentally inept, it would have been glaringly obvious in his time in the senate. However, he conveniently did nothing. That meant that there was nothing to hold against him when he ran for President. That wasn't ineptitude; that was deceptively clever.
The only other logical explanation is that he is intentionally destroying us. That explanation is further supported by his family history and by his known associates.

In fairness, can't you say the Middle East has been a mess for more than just the last six years?

I agree with H that the current state of affairs is not a mistake.
And yes, it has been a mess in the middle-east for thousands of years. I'm not sure why young countries like the US, or young global powers such as the UN, think they are going to find a peaceful resolution to this battle. Its a war of ideology that won't end until all wars end.

Yes I agree that the Middle East has been a mess for a long time, but with what Obama is / isn't doing, it's never been this bad with the possibility of Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon.

The problem is that whenever someone says "Iran" and "nuclear weapon" people automatically tune out. Benjamin Netanyahu has been talking about that since 1996 so it's turned into the boy who cried wolf. It'll be a sad day when / if it actually happens though, but how long do you allow the boogeyman to scare you?mmckee1952 wrote:Yes I agree that the Middle East has been a mess for a long time, but with what Obama is / isn't doing, it's never been this bad with the possibility of Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon.
You could say "it's never been this bad" during any of the previous president's terms though. Reagan backed Saddam in his war against Iran. He launched airstrikes in Libya as punishment but didn't push for a regime change, which could have gotten Muammar Gaddafi out of power decades earlier. During those years people were saying "it's never been this bad" too.
George HW Bush ended up going to war to fight the same people we were helping just a few years earlier. It was the first war I recall seeing on television so for me and many others "it's never been this bad" at that time.
Fortunately Clinton caught a break in the Middle East, relatively speaking.
W had us in two wars. At that time it was definitely "never this bad".
BO is dealing with the reverberations from decades of poor foreign policy. By no means am I letting him off the hook because the meddling he's done in the last six years will just create the problems our next president or two will have to deal with and during those administrations we'll still be saying "it's never been this bad".
Our meddling leads to new problems which leads to more meddling to "fix" which leads to more problems which leads to even more meddling which leads to even more problems..... I say pack up the troops and bring them home. Our men and women are dying over there for nothing. Make sure none of those desert loonies can create missiles that can cross the ocean. Let them kill each other for all that sand.
