Since they raised the topic of Michael Brown, wasn't he shot, the first time, while leaning inside of the officers car, engaged in trying to disarm that officer? I'm not a LEO... so I can't say for sure. However, I believe when less than lethal weapons are being fired, they call out "less lethal" or "less than lethal" or some other call out to let other officers know that the shot is indeed to reduces the threat without lethal force. In this manner, when the pistol or shotgun is fired with less than lethal rounds, other officers don't assume there is an immediate danger and start sending lethal rounds at the suspect.trailrunner wrote:Don't know if anybody watched the video, which shows a simulation.
