Signed. As the grandson of a Coal Miner, and the debater of multiple fuel sources. Coal should remain viable with the newer clean burning furnaces.

And by God it'll heat a cabin like NOTHING else!

Been lookin to replace my woodstove and was thinking about coal versus pellets. I like coal, and I can get a stove that'll burn coal or wood. But pellets are just too easy. I don't know yet.

I do believe the war on Coal IS everybody's problem. I was a Day Trader for 12 yrs. and some of my best Money Maker Stocks were Coal Stocks...Arch Coal and Peabody Coal were my favorites....Now they are almost worthless. I know several Traders that really took a beating on Coal Stocks and will never recover their loses. I don't know how many jobs have been lost in the Coal Industry , but it has to be in the thousands. I burn a little Coal in my wood stove on nights when it gets really cold and not even the best oak or hickory can match the BTU out put of Coal !
