So, we have 316,000,000+ US citizens. About 132,588,000 are working. If you count every single person in the country, regardless of age or ability to work, 41.9% of Americans are producing, while while 58.1% are taking. Whether they are immediate family like your kids or people on welfare/SS/etc., less than 42% of Americans are supporting more than 58% of Americans.

I'm sorry, but that is a damn shame. You are not going to convince me that the total number of Americans that can't work is greater than the entire populations of Greece, France, Italy and Spain combined. Someone is lying about being able to work.... a lot of someones.

That's absurd. But, not surprising. The incentive to be productive keeps shrinking. The more productive you are, the greater the punishment.

I reckon the goal is for business to be run by government, and everyone will be assigned a job. To be efficient, they won't assign according to skill, but by name, to make handling paperwork easier.

let me tell you where socialist policies goes.
In my home country population is around 20 mil, from which around 4 mil are working abroad.
That left about 16 mil, and the active population is... 4.2 mil.
You can imagine the taxation level. All things added, is around 90%.

I only see 64% of my Gross after all Federally mandated taxes and deductions. Add in sales tax, property tax, fuel tax, taxes on service/labor, etc. I am sure that I only have 50% or less of my Gross going toward things I want.... you know, like... food, clothes, a home, the occasional case of ammo.

And this is the part that bugs me... I am in the norm. Our founding fathers went to war over 2%. The people of this country today rollover and take it. No protest. Not letter to Congress. Just keep working to support bums and ludicrous federal spending.
