Re: Anti-gun PSA enourages kids to steal their parent's guns
And most kids whose parents own firearms, have already had "the talk" about guns, and will know "If you take this gun without my permission, it is your tiny bonyazz!"

The producers of that ad need to be arrested for something.

The producers don't realize that most responsible gun owners with children in the house keep loaded guns under lock and key.

It also encourages young boys to explore their mother's drawers.

Kids! Become thieves and criminals! Steal and bring a gun that isn't yours to a gun free zone! Not to mention risk you setting the fun off by placing it in your backpack!
By all that is good, someone PLEASE say this dude can be shut down somehow. I know some of these folks can say some dumb things about guns and gun owners, but this is over the line and truly endangering the kids more than the responsible gun owning adult ever could/would. Like smltooner said, I'm sure most of us keep the guns safe and under lock and key.

Oh! I had a LONG talk, showed this to the girlfriends kids, and said "What did we learn from this?"
The middle boy-child raised his hand, and said "Um... he's a freakin' idiot?"
"Yes boychild, Yes indeed he IS an idiot!" and I patted his head, and the other two laughed.

Like testicles on a tomato, one quick look, and it's immediately apparent that something is very wrong.
I do believe that I would be inclined to press charges, were my child to pull such a stunt.
And, after stealing a gun, throwing it in your backpack, and toting it to school, how can anyone take you seriously when you claim that you don't feel safe with it in your house?
So much fail.

I sent her a public message....
Totally forgot about the weapons trafficking from when he gives the teacher the stolen gun."Stop Gun Violence - PSA" is a joke. You are encouraging kids violate trust, violate privacy, to steal from their family, handle and transport a firearm in a dangerous manner, commit a felony by taking a firearm to school, and then make false accusations about their safety at home. Bravo! What's the encore? How to turn in mom and dad into the DEA for having Sudafed in the bathroom medicine cabinet?
Felonies...
Lets see, 1.) stealing a firearm, 2.) illegal possession of a firearm, 3.) illegal possession of a concealed firearm (separate count from #2), 4.) illegal transportation of a firearm, 5.) possession of a firearm in a gun-free school zone, 6.) brandishing a firearm.

I read some of her comments. She seems totally unphased by the comments she's getting and thinks she is in the right. Wonder what color the sky is in her world.
