Stuck one this evening

Went out this afternoon about 4:30 and climbed up into my "condo" for the wait 'till dark, At 6:00 a five point comes walking in and I took him at 31 yards with my crossbow. I shot him a little high getting a spine hit that dropped him on the spot. He did thrash around enough to break my bolt but it was worth the loss. Good part was I just backed the 4-wheeler up to him to load him up. Here he is.

He didn't seem so little when i tried to load him. I figure hw weighed around 120 pounds. Butcher is supposed to have him ready today which is a good thing because Sherri took out the last pack of burger before I left to go hunting so she could make sloppy joe. Bet you fellows in NOVA don't take your deer to the Dollar Store to be processed. :hysterical:

Nope. But I do like to have jerky left over when I hunt the following season. That way I can munch on one while I hunt for his brother.

Correct. Pickups are painted camo style and have Confederate battle flag bumper stickers and rifle racks... :roll:

Nice little deer you got there. I still need to get my butt out in the woods here. I can't wait until rifle season opens up.
