AR's are like a boat, you can keep putting money into it forever and never get it finshed. Were did you get yours, Greentop has a killer sale on AR's this weekend. I think they trying to put Showplace out of business!!!

Good deal. Dont forget - only head shots will kill a zombie.

Saw a good clip last night on Tactical Arms that made a good point. If you use battery powered optics its a good idea to have flip up iron sights in case you run out of juice. I just use iron sights on mine.

You can set up your red dot and use flip ups and see straight thru your red dot. It's a very cool setup

The guy mentioned you could do that but said it made the picture too busy for him so he had his iron set in the lower half below the dot.

What you do is mount your red dot so the front sight is close to the middle. Make sure you move the red dot forward and mount the flip down rear sight behind the red dot. With the red dot on and the rear sight in the down position it's not a problem. Then with the red dot off and rear sight in the up position you have a clear shot. Very good for when your battery dies, you don't have to move anything. Just make your sight a touch lower, not alot you don't want to lose your field of view.

Great advice. One of these days I might go to a red dot but I'll have to get another AR (shucks!) if I want to do flip up rear. I've got an A2 with the carry handle.

Im not sure about the tube, none of those Ill try to explain it to you

I might have to go take a pic of it LOL

It looks solid like the last one except solid all the way around and it has a little thing those pulls out towards the back

<-- that way so you can put stuff in the tube on both sides

then one side has a box looking thing with a clip pull the clip down (just holds it on their) and their is a little compartment
