Ran into an old drinkin' buddy of mine from about a decade back. We USED to go to Buffalo Wild Wings all the time. I stopped going when they started going "stupid"; ID'ing everyone, including lil' old people (WHO LOOK LIKE LIL' OLD PEOPLE!) to banning concealed handgun permit owners with firearms.

Found out that he MANAGED one for a split second, and he's kinda Progun, so he flat out asked the regional manager "Why do we really ban permit holders? They have less incidences than cops, they tip well, and they are always polite."

The Regional said (AGAIN, UNCONFIRMED) "Because we make a slight amount on the food, but we make quite a bit on the alcohol, and they take up space that DRINKERS could be using. So financially, the company made that call."

Well... SH'T! I still don't like them, but that's absolutely GENIUS if you think about it! BECAUSE IN FACT, THEY ARE CORRECT!

Buffalo Wild Wings "ala-cartes" EVERYTHING! You pay for ANYTHING you get on the table, not combos, or "that comes with a salad", etc. and they have very FEW drink specials, but many FOOD specials (wing specials mainly)...

And that is, AGAIN IF TRUE, a greedy, short-sighted, stupid reason to do anything, because I will never step foot in there, but the one by Ft. Lee is FILLED with soldiers on the weekends, who technically cannot own a weapon anyway!

WOW! An explanation that makes sense, even if I don't LIKE it!

Ha! The joke is on them I have never bought anything more than a Pepsi and wings when I was there. We bring our kids and eat wings like mad and have soda and french fries.


The one by our house is not posted, and I say if you don't want me to carry you gotta post it large not in some handbook somewhere that some one thought they saw once.

TGIF by our house is posted and I respect that by not eating there and taking y dollars somewhere else.

Quaker Steak, and Lube has a Chipotle dusted wing that is probably the best chicken wing I have ever tasted!

Good fried pickles as well.

Loving in Suffolk we got the one by harbor view cinemas. I can definitely say they have a rather large "no Guns Allowed" sign (window sticker) at the entrance of the restaurant. I skip out when my friends ask me to go there. Even skipped a military function there. A moral dinner party for the holidays. Nope, ain't got time to be giving money to dirtbags whose freedom I defend that take my own liberties away.

Also, never been inclined to hit Quaker. Never felt the need to knock out dinner and an oil change simultaneously.

The Quaker Steak, and Lube does through some folks... It's a straight restaurant... no car care there...

I dug their ribs, and their burgers aren't bad.

BWW USED to be the place to go, but now? It's just a "reflex" for some folks, "Games on? Gotta go BWW." (shakes head) The one in Colonial Heights pulls quite a few military folks from Ft. Lee.

If you like beef or venison, the you should try the leg and thigh of a real, farm raised heritage chicken... nothing at all like what the supermarkets and chain joints pass off as chicken.

I always assumed that Quaker Steak and lube did car care; their logo sure looks a lot like Quaker Oil.

Yeah, Palladin; I have had real farm raised, hormone free chickin. That, I do like. Tastes like, well, chicken, lol.

Those poor, genetically altered chickens, with God-knows-what pumped into their systems, taste 100% different.

I note the same hormone taste in some beef, too. Fortunately, though, it's easier to mask in beef.

Maybe hormone injections are a vegetarian plot. Make meat less tasty so folks will be disinclined to eat it.
