VA-ALERT: ACTION ITEM: Class III owners

If you live in a locality where the Chief Law-Enforcement Officer (CLEO) won't sign off on a Form 4 for purchasing Federal Class III items (machine guns, silencers, short-barreled rifles and shotguns, etc.), we need your help, ASAP!

Delegate LaRock has put in a bill that requires the CLEO to sign off on such forms unless there is a reason that you shouldn't be allowed to have such an item.

If your locality has a CLEO that WON'T sign a Form 4 (such as Henrico county), send me an email (president@vcdl.org) with:

1) Your name

2) The locality where you live where the CLEO won't sign Form 4s.

Also, if you can come speak in favor of the bill, it is being heard in subcommittee THIS Thursday at 4:00 PM.

Class III dealers - feel free to attend and speak on the bill, too!
