Taurus Thunderbolt
Saw an ad in CDNN catalog for a Taurus Thunderbolt. Never saw a pump action rifle before so I was intrigued. After reading some reviews, I am duly un-intrigued. They apparently have a history of malfunction. I looked up the Colt Lightning that the Taurus is patterned after. Holy Crap!
The prices are a killer! I saw a pair of them, both engraved for . . . sitting down? . . . $49,500.00! Typical prices are between $3,000 and $6,000 depending on condition and caliber. Nice gun, but out of my league.

I have one of the new production thinderbolts in 45 LC and it's functioned flawlwssly now for about 500 Rds. Cowboy loads don't work well in them (blow by) but a good hollow point load is flawless.
I was put off by the reviews of the first production run guns too but this thing is FUN TO SHOOT! Hint; You can slamfire 45 LC as fast as you can short stroke the pump!
Thinking about ordering the .357.....
