Just Wondering ...

Post by TheEggman »

IF the taxpayers failure to pay for birth control is denying a woman her constitutional right to choose ...

THEN why isn't the taxpayers failure to buy me a gun denying me my constitutional right to keep and bear arms?

Someone should tell those women that no sex = no children, then you don't need to choose or pay for birth control. Personally I see them complaining about birth control and the right to choose as the combination of lack of impulse control and just plain being stupid. If you really want birth control stop the goverment from paying for all their kids.

Further more anyone that is willing to let the government think for them is a retard because the second they let someone else think for them they became a mindless fool!

No families=no family values.

Out of 20 something friends throughout school myself and only 1 other friend had still married parents.

Not a good ratio.

Reagan died. IMHO, that was the symbolic end to the era of which you speak. Poor leadership for the Baby Boomers and Generation X lead to the chaos we see today.

Notice I didn't say lack of leadership, I said poor leadership.

I believe the decline started long before Reagan. It started in late sixties as we were fighting in Nam and the Hippie movement started.

I didn't say it stated with Reagan. I said it ended with him. He was the last bastion of hope for our country. It had to start long before that.

He set some amazing examples that our leaders fail to notice or care about.

It started long before the 1960s. Try the 1920s/1930s...the conditions that lead to the rise of populism and the likes of FDR's "New Deal" and Johnson's "Great Society" both of which were fronts for the so-called "progressive" (read that as "communist") movement.

As with any disease, the problem started long before the symptoms became acute. A case could also be made tracing responsibility to Lincoln (a too-powerful central government is easier to control than a multitude of strong state governments) but that's more a case of susceptibility than direct causation...like choosing to hang out with Ebola victims instead of keeping your distance.
