Is DHS preparing for "food stamp riots" on Nov 1st?
Could this be a SHTF event to prepare for, or maybe just a drill? Either way, it will certainly be worth keeping an eye on.

I do not believe they are planning for Nov 1 in particular, but I do believe they are planning to seize control of the major urban centers and major commerce hubs when SHTF. The government intends to maintain power, and to redistribute our wealth as needed to keep the poor fed and the rich to get paid. They do intend to force us to obey at the point of a gun, and they will not respect any constitutional law when the time comes.

I call BS.
DHS would never dare suppress "food stamp riots"...they'd lead them.

Well, when that particular turd DOES hit the fan, I'll be out here in the remote, underdeveloped, uncultured, but peaceful mountains of the Far Southwest; where every day we live the principle that an armed society is a polite society.

anyone seen the reduction in benefits?
for a family of 4 its about $30 a month.
If thats enough to set of the riots, then we are way closer than I thought.

You really have no idea how entrenched the entitlement mentality is do you? They were probably expecting (because it is owed to them) a $300.00 a month increase.jdonovan wrote:anyone seen the reduction in benefits?

Well, we saw what happened when some Wal-Marts opened the floodgates when SNAP went offline. I can see a reverse effect occurring when the feed trough is made shallow.

Any of y'all ever watch animal planet? When the predators are about where is the most dangerous place to be..........the watering hole of course. If anything goes nuts grocery stores will be one of the most dangerous places to be.

^^^ I'd agree IF they were completely removing the welfare checks. But here its a diminution of the amounts. Not sure enough will go starving, so I think the watering hole may be safe.
I am not saying to just go walking in without making sure there aren't people running around and getting stabbed in the grocery, but I am saying don't be so paranoid that you don't go just because the watering hole is the watering hole.
This is wholly distinct from the event of EBT cards with no limits on them. People were simply stealing because they could at that point.

Grocery stores? Probably. Distribution centers would likely be scary places to be, too. I can easily see DC's in urban areas being stormed by local gangs. Glad I don't work at one, and I certainly don't want to be delivering to one when the time comes.

Flash mobs will be a regular occurrence at large groceries and distribution centers.
