We've all been to the range and maybe even taken defensive classes but I've always wondered how they work in the real world.
I found this video series that show real world scenarios such as ATM robberies, car jacking etc.

Neat videos. Thanks for sharing!
Re: Interesting video series on self defense
I guess the FPD folks presume that the victim has not made himself aware of this surroundings first. It is possible that he could have seen something that would have made him nervous and never approached the ATM. Of course the assailant could have been hidden well enough as to not arouse suspicion. Good video! Thanks for sharing.

It's hard to tell how prepare for any situation like this because you know something is coming and I'm sure you have a heightened sense of awareness.
That being said I think if you are in some situations and they already have their gun drawn on you it's best to comply with what they want and hope for an opening to safely get your pistol out. Cash is replaceable and if they want my car as long as the kids are in it they can take it if I don't think I can get my gun out in time.

I can't decide if this is a "typo", "Freudian", or "humor".zykur wrote:... and if they want my car as long as the kids are in it they can take it ...
