AK 47 Availability in Local VA. Brick & Mortar Stores??

Post by vaschooter »

Hi Everyone... I'm curious to if "Anyone" knows of any local (Northern Va) establishments "Stock" a decent variety of AK's?? A Russian manufactured AK would be preferred. Though I would be willing to examine other manufactures as well... If not which "Brokers" or online companies are worth looking into? I always see atlanticfirearms, gunbroker dot com & gunsamerica when searching online. I've Only purchased firearms via Gun Shops and Shows but AK's are very limited in regard to the selection available.. Any Suggestions for me would be greatly appreciated ;.^> I've always wanted an AK and I don't want to limit myself being that this will be the only one I'll ever buy... I don't want to regret my purchase... ANY information on the Subject of "Purchasing an AK47 would be truly helpful... Thx Very Much for taking the time to read this... Steve

Lots of knowledge here: http://forum.saiga-12.com/

Check out the Saiga v VEPR thread umder VEPR 7.62. You'll probably be swayed towards a VEPR. Pay attention to 922(r).

Don't rightly know about brick and mortar stores in NOVA that might carry anything like that, however.

I purchased a WASR underfolder from this shop (through a NOVA FFL dealer) and I was very happy with their service, the rifle, etc. Here are three options they have in stock for around $650.00 after shipping and FFL fees...

AK-47 GP1975 7.62x39 with US Made Receiver & Barrel. By CAI.

CAI Yugo AKM-47 O-PAP OPAP M70 rifle, 7.62x39 cal, with pistol grip and wood stock.

Regardless of manufacturer/imoorter, check things like the front sight. Sometimes they are canted.
