AR Pistol

Post by cwfunrider »

Well I was thinking of building an SBR but the whole tax and waiting game makes me mad. So I think a pistol is the way to go. I saw a complete rock river pistol lower the other day for like 325. Is that a decent price in today's market?

Anyone else out there with a Ar pistol in 5.56? Opinions on options.......

get the pistol now, file your form 1, enjoy the pistol for the next 6 months and when the stamp comes in, engrave and then mount a stock.

I can a lower for 89 from natchez, a basic LPK is $70, add a buffer tube, buffer and spring for $70 more. Only +100 more for having the assembly done for you, doesn't sound that unreasonable in the present climate.

Well I did it. I found a Rock River complete pistol lower with buffer tube for 279. Let the build begin.

Well I finally found a 7.5 inch barrel online today and order it. Also a hand guard and gas tube.

Saw a upper receiver at a LGS so I'll probably get that one to help support local business.

More parts to get but there has been zero progress since the lower was bought and short barrels seemed impossible to find.
