CHP Wait time in Va Beach

Hey all,

New member here. Just wondering if anyone knows what the current wait time is in VB for CHP. I know they have 45 days but I'm currently at 35 and getting antsy. A friend of mine got his before the first of the year and only took 3 weeks. I'm sure they are busier now but they quoted me 4-6 weeks. I was hoping for 4 weeks but I guess I am looking at 6 weeks.

Just hate having to leave it at home every time I go out. I know I can open carry but I that's not for me.

You should get your CHP any day now. It's been running around 35 - 40 days lately due to high demand.

I will try not to expect it until next Monday (my 45th day), but I'm sure I will be looking for it each day when I check the mail. It's something that I have been waiting years to do. Until my wife recently got interested in shooting, she couldn't understand why I wanted to carry. So I just kind of let it go. Now she shoots with me and we both applied at the same time. She probably won't carry on a regular basis but she wanted to get her permit anyways.

I figured things were busy due to demand, I was just hoping it would squeak through early.
