Tough Mudder event at PNTC...

Post by WelshWarrier »

Got an email from these clowns about a shoot this weekend. Laughable at best!! Again.. more absurd claims by the "World Class" shooting range. They claim there will be 20,000 SHOOTERS, not spectators, at this event, yep 20K!! Either someone slipped on the keyboard, or someone is smoking crack.
I've been going to Knob Creek for over 25 years, and at the height of their heyday in the early 90's, maybe there were 20,000 "SPECTATORS" over 4 days. I've never heard of any shooting event with 20K SHOOTERS, as they claim in their ad.
I guess if you repeat something enough..it becomes the truth....like being world class. Whatever that is.
Reminds me of the Democraps!
I have 4 more months of membership left at this stupid place, but won't be wasting my time and money going. If the membership can be transferred, I'll GIVE my remaining 4 months to whoever wants it. Email me.

Tough Mudder is an oblstacle course, cross country, race / celebration with beer. I don't think they have any thing to do with guns...
You just have to ask yourself, is he telling you the truth based on knowledge and experience or spreading internet myths?

Go to their webpage or send me your email and I'll forward it. They claim its a British Special forces course.

It may have it's obstacle course origins in one of the world's various militaries, it is a teamwork building/ troubleshooting type event, but it definitely is just one of the mud, paint, obstacle course/ festival events that seem to be popping up over the last 3 years or so.

This has to do with PNTC making money by hosting a non-gun event. I predict that the turnout will not meet expectations and that that this will be the last such event they host. PNTC should stick to hosting gun related events.

TM's draw huge crowds. I was just talking to my coworker about it and he said the one they held around Frederick, MD had 5k participants and tens of thousands of spectators.

Those little whips they run/crawl through are electrified and IIRC that swim tank was full of ice water. It's extreme obstacle course, which is why people turn out to watch it.

I'm skeptical 20,000 will attend the event on Saturday.
The April event is estimated to attract around 15,000 competitors and 5,000 spectators on Saturday, the busiest of the competition days.

Umm... what is PNTC?

Never heard of tough mudder, either, but I reckon I got the main idea on that one.
