Springfield Armory Service

Post by wscrst »

I recently bought a Springfield Armory EMP in 9mm. I was not happy when the gun would not cycle with various types of ammunition, so I called SA. I immediately was speaking to a very nice person. She emailed me a return shipping label while we were on the phone. I dropped the gun in a mailbox on a Thursday. I lost my password to track the package so I called SA on Monday just to see if the gun had arrived safely. I was told that it had. It had already been fixed, test fired, and was on its way back to me. The service was so good that I am not even peaved that my EMP didn't work originally. I will be looking to Springfield Armory first for future firearm purchases.

good to hear, I have had my EMP for nearly 2 years and it's great. Next SA project is an "mature" (old) Ultra Compact 1911, having a hell of a time getting a site that will work well . I'll be giving them a call this week and am hoping for a great customer service experience.

I sent my M6 Scout back when the handguard was loose, they fixed that... and refinished the weapon! :first:

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

OP: glad to hear that. Too many people these days have a problem and just go whining to everyone they know or post online about how x or y gun/brand is garbage before giving the manufacturer a chance to correct the problem.

I work in the service department at a local manufacturer and we do our best to make our customers happy. There's nothing worse than a new gun that doesn't work right! But when you build thousands and thousands of guns a year, a few that may not be 100% right get out the door. The good thing is any good company will make it right whether they have to fix or even replace the gun if necessary. :)
