Post by Wolvee »

I'm ready to join a gun club, can anyone suggest one?

Are they active for 2A rights?

Thanks,
W.

A gun club is when you have a gun without ammo and all it is good for is a club.

You asked a poorly structured question. I was hoping to goat you into restructuring it.

Are you looking for some place to shoot? If you are your location matters.

Are you are looking for a political action group? NRA, GOA, JFPF, ....

Lafayette gun club is on the Peninsula. Members must be NRA members and are encouraged to join VCDL , etc... And be active 2Asupporters. The registry has been declared full and closed for a while, though. There is another club on the middle peninsula with some cowboy action shooters.

A poorly structured question? I asked short and to the point questions and they were structured just fine for even the most ignorant grammar Nazi to understand.

Get a Hi-Point. It can be used as a gun and a club. :)

I think when most people are requesting a gun club they are looking for someplace local to shoot, so a better way to phrase the question would be do you know of a gun club in the Richmond area that strongly supports the 2A. Obviously fill in your location of interest.

There are many gun clubs in VA, but if you live in NoVA a club in Virginia Beach would probably not be of much interest. If you are looking for a club just for 2A type issues then the VCDL would be a good choice. They are headquartered in NoVA but have membership meetings in various locations around the state.

Edit to add: Just noticed this was in the Tidewater Regional sub forum, so your question makes more sense, but many people like myself just hit the active topics button instead of going to the subsections. On the peninsula Lafayette gun club in Seaford (York County) is popular but as had been mentioned the membership is currently frozen. They have just added a lot of members and I think are letting things settle down a bit until they get a chance to increase capacity. I am not familiar with south side clubs.

Howdy,W,

Norfolk County Rifle Range, Inc.
4321 South Military Highway
Chesapeake, Virginia. 23321
Phone 757-488-9861
http://www.ncrr.net/

Virginia Beach Rifle and Pistol Club
P.O. Box 62541
Virginia Beach, VA 23466
Phone:987-654-3210

NCRR membership is full, but they have matches and leagues, and a youth program, all open to non-members. I'm not sure if the VB club is still in business. Their range got sold to developers some years back, but they had been saving to buy their own land.

Regards,

George

If change is inevitable, why aren't we prepared for it?
