I wasn't aware .22lr was hard to find. That and 12 guage birdshot are the only ammo I haven't had trouble locating.

Re: Found some .22LR
Me and the wife went to Wally World yesterday and I went to the Sporting Good's section and asked the room temperature nit wit at the counter for the 22 lr. ammo and was informed that they did not have any and haden't had any for several mos. but it was on order.
Re: Found some .22LR
Bill they moved it from behind the counter to a display case in the aisle. I take it they sold it all. They did have a 2 box limit so Sherri got 2 boxes on the way to the hospital and 2 on the way home. We'll see ya around noon or so tomorrow. Turn loose some squirrels for us, I think DK is hungry.

Its clean and ready to go though and so am I.Vahunter wrote:Bill they moved it from behind the counter to a display case in the aisle. I take it they sold it all. Re: Found some .22LR
I picked up some .22 ammo at the Staunton Wal-Mart. They had 50 rounds of Remington Thunderbolt for $1.95 and 100 round boxes of CCI for about $6/box. 6/customer limit. The sales droid was actually very nice and had a clue! He also had no problems with letting me and my wife each buy 6 boxes. No questions were asked about pistol/rifle or any request for any ID (I offered) and he jokingly asked if I was over 18 as he continued with the order without waiting for my response as he knew I was well past that!
Another spotting of .22lr bulk & minimags
The Walmart in Sterling (off of Rt 28) has cases of the Federal 550 bulk packs in stock. Picked up a few boxes about $16ish each with tax. They also had CCI MiniMags for those that shoot 'em. No 9mm but they did have some .45JHP as well as Federal .40 FMJVahunter wrote:Federal 550 packs. My wife picked me up 4 boxes at Wal mart .
