.577 Tyrannosaur recoil video...
I can't help but laugh when i watch this video (not amused in a way that i believe i could handle the recoil or anything) but does anybody know if its really that strong? judging from pictures of the round, it probably is i would think.

That last dude got a decent shot but it looked like he was using a heavier rifle. Wiki says thats a 750gr bullet with 10,180 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle. WOW.
Wonder if they make a T/C barrel for that?
Great vid

Looked around some at other forums where this vid was discussed, seems the concensus is that everyone in the vid didn't know about, and wasn't prepared for, the recoil. The .50 BMG produces as much energy as the .577 T-rex and is available in bullet weights ranging from 647 grains to 800 grains.
I'd tend to believe that these guys didn't know what they were in for when they picked up that rifle, especially the ones in the things that look like dresses. I think if they had known what they were in for they could have handled the recoil better. Someone set up a camera and handed them a gun knowing what would happen, chuckling to themselves the whole time.

I have a TON of these vids of these guys shooting various versions of the .577 T-Rex and all but one have a heck of time handling the recoil. The rifle looks lighter than most .50 BMG guns so it probably does have rather harsh recoil.

You can hear laughter in the background. That last guy definitely knew what he was doing. He's probably the one doing all the chuckling.Moccasin wrote:Someone set up a camera and handed them a gun knowing what would happen, chuckling to themselves the whole time.

So if we happen to find one, we get to set up the camera and watch you shoot it, right?zephyp wrote:Wonder if they make a T/C barrel for that?

I think the biggest T/C I ever shot was a 45-70. Guy at a range in AZ let me try it. And I did - just once.
