Doctor C.Everett Koop passed away

America lost a great man in my eyes today, the former Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop. He was bashed by the left when President Reagan selected him for the post, later he was bashed by the right for basing his efforts on science not his religious beliefs. He was the right man for the job during the rise of AIDS in the eighties. I liked his belief in educating people versus outlawing behaviors as being how to make change happen, I wish more people thought that way today.

Man, that stinks. My mother in-law work for him for years. He was a good guy for sure.
