Virginia Citizens' Defense League

The Virginia Citizens Defense League (VCDL) was founded in October 1994 as the Northern Virginia Citizens Defense League (NVCDL). The group experienced enormous growth in membership statewide and was incorporated as VCDL in May of 1998. VCDL is a non-partisan, grassroots organization dedicated to defending the human rights of all Virginians and, most importantly, the proposition that the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is a fundamental Human Right.

There is a lot of good information on this website and some folks who have been working the Virginia political system for many years in an effort to ensure that we all maintain our right to keep and bear arms within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

You can find Gun Show information throughout Virginia, concealed handgun permit information, links to articles and actions that the VCDL has undertaken to preserve our rights and more. We all owe VCDL a great amount of gratitude for the work that they do. Thanks VCDL!

If the NRA could get things done on the national level like the VCDL does on the state level, gun owners would have a lot less to worry about.

I'd say that politics at the National level are much more difficult and costly than those at the state level. Nothing in Washington can really be done in an expedient, efficient or effective manner. Unfortunately, the bigger government gets, the worse it will get.
