I love how WTOP radio reported today that a couple hundred people showed up at the hearing. More media spin to try and make gun owners look like a minority group.
Well this changes my opinion of Marylanders. All of them that I know personally are very left, way left. So to see this turn out gives me hope for our neighbor state.
And apparently, one of the good Senators from Maryland's state gov't decided to play chess on his computer while "hearing" testimony from the good citizens who were against the bill.
Speak softly and carry a big stick. Now why would anyone need to do that? At least some people showed up even though chess on the computer was the main attraction apparently.

I used to do a lot of duck and goose hunting on the eastern Shore of Maryland. Those folks out there are typical farmers/small rural town folks. They got guns and they got guts. Problem is they're outnumbered by the DC-Baltimore crowd - sort of like the NoVa-Tidewater liberal cabal in Virginia; only worse.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.
