Obama administration lawyers have asserted that it would be lawful to kill a United States citizen if "an informed, high-level official" of the government decided that the target was a ranking figure in Al Qaeda who posed "an imminent threat of violent attack against the United States" and if his capture was not feasible.

Much like the no knock warrants that were once upon a time supposed to be only used in dire situations and are now SOP. I wonder how long till the gov't thinking you might be a threat gets you and your family killed by a hell-fire missel

Not too long back a 16 year old girl in Iowa IIRC was arrested for "terroristic threats" after threatening to beat up another girl.

The "t" word will trickle down to encompass whomever and whatever is expedient.

Where are the activists protesting Dubyas water boarding of suspected terrorists anyway? It was wrong to torture them but its Ok for Obama to blow them up?

Not merely OK, but "legal" AND "moral"; according to Obama's press suck-retary.

I guess it's right, legal and moral if Obama did it no matter what he did.

Well, no trial, but they do get suspended, expelled, and/or pulled out of school by their parents:
