It might help them somewhat in the short term. But this is only going to drive away businesses looking to start up in California to other states that are more friendly. And end up costing California revenue for the long term.

Just one more example of the stupidity of California politicians and voters. Need I mention Polosi, Feinstein, Boxer and countless others. I thought not. It really saddens me because I am (strike that) I was a Californian. I grew up out there and It is a beautiful/wonderful state. But the problem is the state has been over run with idiots. California is no longer the state I grew up in. I will always consider myself a Californian but I would never ever consider living there again. The liberal elite has created such a toxic environment for business and conservative citizens that it is no wonder why the state is now flat on its back. Sad.

However, ever since the draconian environmental acts that's been whittled away. It would be interesting to see if the courts can contrive the prohibition against ex post facto as criminal only and thus retroactive taxation is ok?

I keep saying this, all over the web...stop calling socialists what they want to be called in order to help hide their true purpose and ultimate goal.

Call them what they are working towards - socialists work for and towards liberalism. They are socialists.
