I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.

I was under the impression that there were patriots on this forum. All I hear are crickets........

I didn't comment because this is the fourth forum on which someone posted the link. Yes, it's a fine article and I hope it will be unnecessary.

You think being on a gun forum will help that cause?....

Just saying. Come on man, if we all speak in one big voice, we will be able to turn the tide.

I'm not one for bracing for an impact. I won't be put up against the ropes. No sir. Not me..... I'll face what needs to be faced like a man.

This country is in the shape it's in because too many people have kept their collective mouths shut.....

Write, email, call your representatives and make sure your voice is heard. Tell them you'll not stand for this. If we can all stand together.......

I don't think the time for shutting up is here yet. If they pass that law then perhaps it is time to go the conciencous objector route.

I do not own any sporting rifles. I don't. I don't really care to either. But I am still going to scream as loud as I can to everyone I can that the second amendment is the law of the land. That if you want to change that, go about it in the constitutional manner, not this back handed EO baloney, or we are going to infringe on everything but single shot .22 and revolvers.

I think they know they don't have the votes for the constitutional stuff. I think they know they don't have the votes to get any of this nonsense through congress. To is why the president is trying the EO junk. He should be impeached for violation of his oath and the constitution if he tries it.. However I think he has done many things that I think he should be tossed out on his nose for.

Heaven help us all.

I'm screaming now, but when it passes? I'm sure I'm on enough lists, but I don't need to aggravate a situation.

Picking a fight, and BEING in a fight are two entirely different things.

What I am now? Tired. Sick of a buncha pansies who own guns but aren't VCDL, NRA, GOA, and/or 2ndAF members.

They think being a member will get them noticed. Whatever, they're coming after you the same as my loudmouth self!

However, I'm thinking soon? Time to brace for impact, and get invisible as best I can...

I guess I read too many forums these days. Perhaps I should make a resolution to cut back.

OK, so we’re all soul-searching about whether we’ll have the gumption to resist (overtly or just by anonymous noncompliance, if possible) if/when the federal government acts to confiscate our firearms.

A lot of you are like me: You have worked most of a lifetime and accumulated more than you’re willing to lose by becoming a felon. But you also cherish not only your firearms but more importantly your right to keep and bear them. The stakes are (or will be if THIS SHTF) very, very high.

So if the unthinkable (but unfortunately no longer the unimaginable or impossible) should happen and federal officer(s) should one day knock on your door and demand that you surrender your contraband firearms (that were perfectly legal before the recent Executive Order number 99YOURESCREWED99), you pretty much can’t win. If you knuckle under, you have forfeited your freedoms and betrayed your heritage and sacred honor. If you resist, you become an outlaw, will no doubt face social and financial ruin, and will without doubt be portrayed and treated as a dangerous and mentally-defective criminal zealot of the right-wing fringe. There won’t be any Hollywood-style happy ending to the story.

So WTF can we do?

I’d suggest that (in addition to raising all the hell we are able with our elected officials) we each should each contact all the gun-rights organizations we know of and can afford to support and give generously; because if the feared executive order does get signed, our only hope short of impeachment or armed insurrection is the courts. We’ll just have to hope the enforcement of such an Order can be delayed or prevented until common sense can reassert itself. Whoever steps in to do that litigating will have to spend a lot of money fast.

Is impeachment even a possibility at this point? With Democratic control in the Senate (and no Federal elections to try and tip the balance for almost 2 years) and a slim margin in the House. How likely is it an impeachment would even get off the ground?

Please note I am not advocating an armed insurrection either. We only have to look back not too long ago at our own civil war and realize that it would not be either short or bloodless. It would be very messy and could open us to attack from the outside very quickly. I could see any number of nations that could try and take advantage of an United States distracted by internal strife, starting with China, Iran and North Korea.
And the saddest part of all this, is that the people that set those events in motion would be sitting safe behind armored glass and armed security while the rest of America is at each others necks.

Well for the moment this is the best I can foresee. Right now we fight like a mother bear being separated from her cubs. If some monstrosity registration passes, I can see bunches of people suddenly shutting up. If they attempt confiscation I think you will see migration to freedom loving places.

I don't love the idea of TX, hot, humid, etc, however if there is any place that has a shot of telling the Feds to pound sand it is them. Well, them and Alaska, but I would have a hard time getting to the north country.

And WYOMING!

Wyoming has a bill in there State legislature that says bluntly "If the Federal Gov passes a ban, it's ILLEGAL FOR ANY FEDERAL AGENT TO ATTEMPT CONFISCATION!"

It also allows gun manufacturers to continue MAKING their products IN WYOMING!

Now, if we could get VA to pass something like that? Well... Winner, winner, chicken dinner. It won't, we have enough pansies, and "Transplants/Carpetbaggers" to ruin the state.

The "Come-Here's" are screaming louder than ME! They have LIVED under that God-Forsaken system UP NORTH!

However, Kentucky would be our best bet... less gun laws than just about every state (Number 5 WORST Gun State for the Brady Bunch). Get them to pass it.

All I ask, when I become an outlaw, someone tend to my family, and on occasion, let me have a peaceful nights rest. I can handle the rest.
