Post by larry3100 »

I will be traveling to Ga. soon and can not find a site that lists the concealed carry laws for S.C. or Ga. I am familiar with the law in N.C. but need to know the law for the other states...Oh,I do have a Utah non-resident permit since ours in Va. is not recognized in Ga. any help would be appreciated...thanks

http://www.nraila.org/gun-laws/state-laws/virginia.aspx
They do a good job keeping the laws up to date. The link is for VA but click the home button and you can choose every state.

Speaking of CCW and law, is this legal?

Moral certainly isn't.

Yes, I saw they obtain the lists thru FOIA, but publishing, creating a map for easy finding in a hate climate like now, is still legal?
If some exalted liberals like those who have tweeted about killing NRA member show up and ends badly, is this site responsible?

You might also look at it as publishing a list of places not to rob. Kind of the opposite of a gun-free zone.

Or places to rob when the owners aren't around since you might get a firearm? Or just general harassment by your neighbours (e.g. not letting their kids play with yours because you a "gun family").

I think it was the City of Philadelphia had all permit owners on one of their interactive websites but after a large backlash they took it down. Since this is a private organization I doubt they will care enough to take it down.

The Roanoke Times tried it a few years ago. After the uproar from that, the State Police database was taken offline.
