VCDL IS PREPARING FOR ALL OUT CAMPAIGN TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS AND TO PROTECT SCHOOLS

VCDL's thoughts & prayers are with the families, friends, and all who were affected by the atrocity committed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School by a criminal monster on Friday. Words cannot adequately express our deepest sympathy to the victims and the revulsion we feel for the vile act of a lunatic.

Although some gun organizations have dropped off the radar screen, VCDL has been active and on the offensive - from newspapers to television, from local news to national shows. From the Washington Post to CNN. That said, when the massacre happened, VCDL saw no need to rush into the media with our thoughts on how to protect schools. We just wanted to let the families mourn their losses - there would be plenty of time later to talk about solutions. But no. The gun-grabbers had to start spewing their lies and distortions immediately. Under a barrage of gun-hatred and the associated media bombardment, our hope of a respectful silence dried up and blew away. We could not, and would not, just walk away leaving the vilification of innocent gun owners unanswered.

The frustration of VCDL leadership is palpable. While gun owners were both horrified and saddened by the massacre in Connecticut, the gun-hating media, the gun-hating organizations, and gun-hating politicians, have all been dancing in the blood of those tiny children.

**This may well be the biggest fight for gun rights in our lifetimes. **


THE GUN-CONTROL CROWD HAS HAD THEIR CHANCE WITH SCHOOLS AND GUN-FREE-ZONES, NOW WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING THAT WILL WORK

We need to get guns into the hands of adults at schools. No more "gun-free-school-zones!" Governor McDonnell has said he's interested in at least exploring such an option.

With all the media coverage of the massacre and the deep stab that it made in American hearts, have no doubt that other criminal monsters and even terrorists are taking notice. There will be more attacks on our youngest school children by psychopathic lunatics so they can become infamous in death. Terrorists will do so to put a knife in our hearts and then twist it.


VCDL NEEDS YOU, ALL OF YOU

Every one of you needs to participate. When we need phone calls or emails sent, we don't want merely 1 or 2 thousand - we want all 17,000 of you to do your part! NEVER ASSUME THAT WE DON'T NEED YOU TO DO YOUR PART. Carry your own weight when asked.

We are going to be doing protests and rallies. There may not be a whole lot of notice, perhaps just a few days. We'll try to give you as much notice as we can.

This will not be a campaign for the timid and VCDL is NOT going to back down. If they want a fight, then we'll give them a fight.

Watch for future alerts and be prepared for lots of those alerts. We are now in a war to save America and our rights. Time is of the essence and the battle begins in earnest RIGHT NOW.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have always been more motivated, more organized, more determined, more articulate, and have orders of magnitude more members than the gun-haters. All they have is emotion. Emotion is powerful, though, and we must not underestimate that power.

We are a force to be reckoned with and we are about to show that yet again!

VCDL MEMBERSHIP MEETING IN ANNANDALE ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20TH

A VCDL membership meeting is going to be held Thursday at the Mason Government Center in Annandale.

We will be discussing what's going on around us and VCDL's vision for the coming months - the plans to disarm us, how we are going to fight back to protect our guns rights, how we are going to protect schools, and much more, including Q&A, if there is time.

We will also have a couple of candidates address the group.

The meeting is open to the public and you are encouraged to bring friends, family, and co-workers.

Fellowship starts at 7:30 PM, with the meeting called to order PROMPTLY at 8 PM. It will run until 9:30 and we will then adjourn and we will go to a local restaurant for continued fellowship.

I'm here to help improve the situation, but yo have to help me! Convert a non-owner to an owner this Christmas, making a gift to a relative!

I've already sent hard copies and email as requested by VCDL, but I also sent hard copies and letters to my Delegate and State Senator, too. As VCDL and GOA have advised, I have warned them that I will not let my representatives get away with ANY new gun control and have warned them that doing so will ENSURE my vote will not go to them, irregardless if they are the less evil candidate in the next election.

No appeasements, no concessions. Until you can outlaw evil, gun laws are worthless and are not worth applying.
