Well I finaly had a chance to get away for a morning to go hunting and I shot a real nice doe this morning. She was the biggest of the 6 on the next ridge over about 100 yards or so. She dressed out at 112 lbs, so there will be plenty of venison for Christmas.

Looks like some good eating to be had there.

My hunting rifle is a Savage Edge .308 and I was using the Winchester SilverTip 150 grain bullet. Just so you know the big hole you seee is the exit wound, and the heart and left lung was nothing but jelly when I field dressed her. The scope is a CenterPoint 4-16x40mm that I picked up from Wal-Mart. it is a good scope for the price (I think I paid about $70 for it) and I like it as it is a mil dot scope with quick adjustments and I can bring it right back to my 100 yard zero.
