What would you do...

Post by larry3100 »

What with everything going the way it is,with all the anti-gun people screaming for tighter gun control or even banning guns outright, what would you do IF the day came when we were ordered by the federal government to turn in ALL guns..would you turn em in,hide em,fight or would you go in some other direction..I am scared that day may be coming and just curious how folks would react..

I could see a ban on assualt rifles and hi cap magazines in the future...much like the last one. I dont see, at least in my lifetime, the Govt taking away guns you already own. In the extremely unlikely event that did happen I would not comply until all the dust settled on the lawsuits that would surely follow. And how and at what rate would you be compesated for them taking your property? How did this play out in Britian and Australia?

Even police in Australia is not happy with gun ban: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8RDWltH ... r_embedded
I was attacked by a crazy man twice my size with an axe. I'm here only because it happen one of his relatives stopped him. Police refused to came after being called.
This may be your future if you don't fight for your right.
Me? I'll pack and move... Live in US with so many armed criminals and no protection is not an option.

I don't think I would comply with that kind of action, being totally disarmed and having to depend on the police for my personal protection doesn't exactly give me the warm and fuzzies, but what would be the price of disobeying?? At least in Va. any weapon you bought in a private sale would be safe since there would be record of the purchase but I suppose you could claim to have sold any weapon there might be a record of...It's a scary thing to think about, guess we need to all pray that our Govt. comes to its senses(lol) before that happens

When that day comes, that will be when all Citizens who own their guns legally must band together and take a stand against our corrupt Govt. I will never give up any of my weapons . All are registered and legal . I just enjoy the sport of shooting and firearm collecting .The Liberals and People who think stricter Gun Laws will stop these Idiots from killing innocent people will never understand that it is the Crazy's who do the killing not the guns. I do believe this day is coming and we better be prepared !

While I don't believe that an outright ban will occur, I do believe that if it attempted it would surely trigger the next American revolution.

Not even this current bunch in D.C. is crazy enough to attempt a outright ban on guns. They have a more sinister plan of action to disarm us.

That would be the best answer IF enough of us would go that route, hard to believe that after all these years they are trying to take our rights away and in the process shred the Constitution...

Easier and cheaper just to disarm the will.

As for the thread, I'd probably hold on to mine and sell them since they'd skyrocket in price and only keep the c&r guns for home defense, since theyre lax on regs as it is I don't see the "old stuff" getting much attention.

Worse comes to worse theres a few hidey holes around here the federales are welcome to check them out...skunks live in half of them and I know which half. They can poke around all they want.

Guns? What guns? I don't own a g'damma thing... Ya'll banned them, I went thru the worst section of town, sold them for 10 times what I paid.

To who? Oh, Drug Dealers, Gang Members, wide-eyed sociopaths with a penchant for buggery.

After ban, you will be able to buy the finest guns sent by Obama administration to mexican gangs. They will sell us back :)
See, Fast and Furious will be a very useful program, worth every penny of your taxes.

I gotta agree with Rich. First, an immediate turn in would be highly unlikely. So, the best course of action would be to sit tight and wait for the legal dust to settle.

I think you have more faith in this administration than they deserve. Nothing they do will surprise me, even confiscating guns. Like you said, the plan to disarm the population by those in power in this Country and outside the Country have much deeper and more sinister roots.
