Gun violence in Va falls, firearms sales up
"Baker, who specializes in research methods and criminology theory, said the comparison seems to contradict the premise that more guns lead to more crime in Virginia."

Who was it that said an armed society is a polite society?
Re: "more guns does not lead to more crime"
Compare the crime rate to the areas that have strict firearm laws to the areas that allow the 2nd amendment to be exercised and you'll notice that the latter will have less crime all around.
I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.

Scrubber hit it dead on. I mean come on, who wants to break into a house if you know there's a high possibility that the guy or gal inside has a 12 Ga inside with your name on it?

You could always move to Kennesaw, Georgia where in 1982 the city passed an ordinance so that every household is required to own a firearm (barring physical disability, religious objection, or something that would legally prevent you from owning a firearm). From 1982 through 2009 there was just one murder in the city. And this isn't some remote place with only 100 people; it's in Cobb County which is one of the most populated counties in Georgia.
We need something like that in Virginia!

I was beaten down by a "D.C. Resident" who said "Oh! Crimes are going down because the populace age is changing, and the social programs are getting better, and blah, blah, blah..."
Guy used to be pro-gun, now after 10 years of D.C. living, he's drank the Kool-Aid.
GUNS PREVENT CRIME BECAUSE CRIMINALS ARE LAZY, AND DO NOT WANT TO BE SHOT!
Simple.

There you have it, gun control in action!
