HK P2000 DA/SA .40cal. My new CCP

Post by scrubber3 »

Just picked it up a couple days ago.
I absolutely love it. Great trigger, great sights, perfectly balanced. 12 rd mags to boot. I'll be shooting it this weekend and ill give a proper range report if anyone shows interest.

It'll share duty with my Glock 30 .45

I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.

And if Bruce Dickinson wants more cowbell, we should probably give him more cowbell!

I'm not a glock hater by any means, but I doubt it'll share time with the Glock! That's a great gun! I had it's little brother (p2000sk) and it was just a tad bit too small. The p2000 is great for CC. Congratulations!

Honestly, that's what I've been thinking.
Thanks!

Finally able to shoot this thing today. To say I was impressed is an understatement. Went through 4 mags without issue as expected, but what I didn't expect was the lack of snappy recoil that most .40 cal pistols are prone to. This thing is a tack driver of a pistol. If only I could get some more time to practice. It's a bit different than all my GLOCKS so I was shooting a little low. As far as I can tell that is. ( shooting stuff on the ground because I didn't have any targets set up). Once the DA went to SA, follow up shots were a non issue. This will probably pull more EDC than my GLOCKS I'm afraid. ;) definitely fits the hand and shoots great.

Yeah DA to SA takes some getting used to if you're used to striker fired weapons. Nice weapon

Grats on the new pistol! Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

Could you maybe take some pictures with the Glock you usually carry, to compare dimensions? (Width, height, length, etc?) that would be awesome! Also, what type of holster system are you utilizing for CCW?

It's a Glock 30. There are a lot of different sites that have the dimensions of both pistols. I have numerous holsters for IWB & OWB.
