What's going to happen tomorrow (6 Nov 2012)?
What do you think is going to happen tomorrow? We've got predictions from mass riots and government action to Obama or Romney ascending to heaven on a cloud lifted by doves. I predict:
• Obama will win. Not what I want to see, but, well, there are a lot of people who just aren't aware of what another term will mean. (Just for the record, I'd love to see Gary Johnson win. I'd also love to win the lottery, have all of my loved ones live as long as they want, and have my cat scoop his own litter.)
• Hillary Clinton will send congrats, and then start the process of distancing herself from him politically.
• No mass riots, no civil disturbance. Just business as usual for the zombie populace.
• 72 hours of non-stop coverage of OHMYGAWDWHATDOESTHISMEANFORAMERICA on the news channels. None of it will be news.
• Ammo prices spiking again.
• Lots of people saying, "Hmm, time to buy that assault rifle and those magazines." Prices going up again.
• Lots of posts on these forums lamenting Obama's win (please let me be wrong).

I still think it's too close to call. I'd love to see Gary Johnson get his 5% so the Libertarian Party doesn't have to jump through all the hoops in 2016 like they had to this year. Since so many people on this forum have stated that they'll vote 3rd party in 2016 (but not this election since it's soooooo important) this would be good for those people. For states that lean heavily left or heavily right this would be a good place to pump up those numbers. The state is going to go the way it goes anyway, so what's one more vote for Obama or Romney in those states going to accomplish?Mindflayer wrote:• Obama will win. I thought her and Tim Geithner both said they would not be participating in a 2nd term?Mindflayer wrote:• Hillary Clinton will send congrats, and then start the process of distancing herself from him politically.
Yeah, with an Obama win I don't see any mass riots either other than the looting in the street that takes place after a sports team wins the championship. With a Romney win I might make some plans to hunker down for a day or two to see how things go.Mindflayer wrote:• No mass riots, no civil disturbance. Just business as usual for the zombie populace.

Re: What's going to happen tomorrow (6 Nov 2012)?
Gary Johnson lost a great chance to be a hero and gain broad support for the Libertarian Party in future elections. He should have, last week, announced the end of his campaign and his endorsement of Romney in view of the terrible consequences for the nation of an Obama victory. With a concise, honest speech, he could have explained it in a way that his supporters would understand and should agree with. He could have been given a cabinet post in the Romney administration to keep him in the public eye.
But he didn't.
That said, I believe that the only way Obama "wins" will be through fraud on a scale that stretches the imagination. The fraud campaign has been going on for over a decade. We see it in "miscalibrated" voting machines, in NAACP teams giving out water and rearranging people in line at the polls while proselytizing for Obama, in absentee ballots with the names of dead and nonexistent people, and in the deliberate suppression of military members' voting with the full support of the SecDef.
They say you can't cheat if it isn't close. I wonder how big the "margin of fraud" is this year.
I see three possible outcomes:
1. Romney's electoral college landslide victory makes any recounts or litigation in uncertain swing states moot. This is the best case.
2. Romney wins, but uncertainties about provisional ballots and litigation in swing states where the margin is close tie the election up for weeks. Meanwhile, the rhetoric will reach deafening levels and there will be organized demonstrations by unions and other left-wing groups, as well as sporadic violence.
3. Obama seems to win, but clearly via fraud, and it will be up to Romney and the GOP to find the courage to litigate and prosecute.
In all of these scenarios, I expect to see considerable rioting by Obaman factions in urban areas, possibly on a Rodney King scale. I would also not be surprised to see an Islamist terror attack while the nation's emotions are heightened from the election. They wouldn't attack before Election Day because that would help Romney. We already know they have no respect for Obama, and if Romney wins, they would use it to "test" him.

I will get up in the morning. Drink some coffee. Dress warmly and go vote. Then I'll come home and watch the house/property with my 1911 and rifle by my side for a couple of days. That's why I took the week off. To be here, just in case.

Tomorrow:
I will vote the only vote that has any chance of getting Obama out of office. Romney FTW.
Because I hope for the best, but need to prepare for the worst, I will OC for the first time. It's gonna be a long night for me, my workplace is in a higher crime area, and adjacent to a polling area and public housing.
Be safe everyone, and for the sake of god, finagle, and the flying spaghetti monster, vote and make it count.

Haha,
I'm working armed security at my Public housing site tomorrow night. I can only imagine the kind of night we're going to have in the wake of an Obama defeat.
That said, I do hope Romney wins but I am doubtful it will actually happen. Regardless of the outcome, I think we will be in for an interesting few weeks following the election.

I'm as calm as a Hindu Cow... because I have faith that whatever will be, will be.
That being said, I'm prepared to do what's necessary to keep safe, warm, and fed. And I'm going camping this weekend. That should help relax me.
Also, if you haven't bought your "assault rifle", or "ammo" before now? (shrugs) Then you're not as bright as you think. This long legged liar in chief had a strategy. If you watched his ACTIONS, and IGNORED HIS CHATTER, you would have seen it.
But half this nation fell under the "Jedi mindtrick" of a community organizer... Enjoy your stupidity you mindless sheep.

I predict Obama will win rather comfortably via electoral votes, and butthurt Republicans will be screaming fraud for the next four years but life will go on much as Democrats did in 2000.
Shame the system is rigged so badly. Oh well.

Same here. As for who will win, I'll just wait and watch the mind-numbing campaign coverage like everyone else.M1A4ME wrote:I will get up in the morning. Drink some coffee. Dress warmly and go vote.
I'm both optimistic and realistic. And hopefully, ready for anything.

That reminds me, if you have time after you vote, tomorrow is National Buy a Gun Day. Imagine if we crashed the NICS system.

I'll wait until Wed to see who wins. Or, just maybe until the recount.

I'm going to vote and then hopefully pick up the P556 I've been eyeballing.
Then, parent teachers conference (unarmed, of course!).
If the P556 comes to fruition, then it's pumpkin slicing fun in the backyard.

I'm wondering if we still don't know the winner by the end of tomorrow, due to problems with ballots, especially in Ohio (provisional ballot system). I'm wondering if this going to be some variation of replay on 2000.

My day shall consist of getting up early, going to my polling place (unarmed - elementary school
), casting my ballot (always insist on paper, don't trust the machines), then driving to a friend's house to pick him up and go hunt some rats in fur coats (aka squirrels). Then home, put up my feet, and have a glass of brandy.
Gods willing, it will be squirrel stew the next day.
