m9 trigger

Post by BeachnVa »

On my m9 I understand there is a trigger mod that is easy. Anyone done this? The replacement .40 spring onto the 9mm. Just curious. Suggestions on what or how?

You could replace the hammer spring with that of a "D" model, either a 92D or a 96D. Since the "D" models are double-action-only, the longer trigger pull is countered with a lighter spring and a lighter/faster hammer. Some folks put the lighter hammer spring in their FS and G models to lighten the SA and DA trigger pulls a bit, usually coupled with a lighter skeleton hammer.

Personally, I'd worry if this would cause light primer strikes, but it probably isn't cause for concern.
