1. Candidate forum for Eric Cantor and Wayne Powell TONIGHT (Oct. 17th) in Montpelier

EM Patricia Webb, President of Gadsden Guns, sent me this notice:

URGENT...there will be a candidate forum hosted by the 7th District Tea Party TONIGHT, Wednesday, October 17th at 7:00 PM (doors open at 6:30PM) at:

Montpelier Center For the Arts & Education
17205 Mountain Road
Montpelier, VA (Hanover County)

Eric Cantor and Wayne Powell have both been invited. Powell has indicated that he will attend, Canter has said he is "too busy" to take time out to meet with his constituents, but has offered to send a surrogate.

There are two things you can do.

First, call Eric Cantor at (804) 747-4073 or (804) 358-6160 and let him know that as his employers we expect him to attend in person.

Second, go to http://www.facebook.com/events/366728153409956/ and submit your questions for both candidates.

The Tea Party has space for about 100 people so please RSVP on the facebook page so they know if they need to move to a larger room. Your help in this may lead to a better understanding of the candidates' positions.

2. Snafu on Gary Johnson and Jill Stein surveys

We had a snafu and the Gary Johnson (Libertarian Presidential candidate) and Jill Stein (Green Party Presidential candidate) surveys did not go out with the rest. Both surveys are in the mail today and I will report back as soon as we get them returned.

VCDL apologizes to both candidates for the delay in getting their survey out in a timely manner.
