It looks like soldiers in the IDF are never really off duty. But where does she keep her spare magazine? :shock:

If the beaches here are anything like the beaches in NY and Boston, you darn well need to be armed at them. There were numerous incidents of wanton violence (much of it racial) in both areas last summer.

One commenter said that it's a real pain to check weapons in and out of the armory so if your going to go somewhere after work you might as well just bring the rifle. But carrying a gun with no mag? About as useful as a walking stick.....

When I was on USS George Washington on our 1994 Med cruise, about 40 Israeli army girls did an evening dress/bikini show for us that was sponsored in part by some famous designer. I will say the young ladies who participated were pretty damn hot. Tanned, shapely and friendly. And they can talk weapons and tactics as intelligently as any soldier.

I may be wrong about the length of time but if I remember correctly, even females had to do a mandatory 2 years of military service.
