skilled men shoot their own ejected .22lr casings

Post by traveler »

out of the air. this is done by holding the gun sideways, muzzle downwards to the front, so that the ejected cases go almost straight up. It takes quite a bit of practice, but the 3/8" (spinnning) target gets hit at 6-10 ft from the muzzle. Think about that. That means that in less than one second, such a man can shoulder his .22 autoloading rifle and hit a man in the 4" brain circle at 10 yds. Give him another 1/2 second, and he can do the same at 50 yds. If his rifle is already shouldered, he can traverse it a bit and brain a man at 50 yds in well under a second flat. The .22 autorifle is no joke for combat, if it is in skilled hands, using cover properly. Especially if it is also suppressed and using the 60 gr Aquila subsonic .22lr rds, (loaded in .22 Short cases).

Sounds like fun. Can it be done with a .22 pistol as well?
I invite everyone to come to the range with me. It's as simple as letting me know what day you want to meet up.

Sounds pretty dangerous to me with the potential to end up with a loaded firearm swinging toward any bystanders, with the shooter focusing on swinging toward the casing. Not exactly what I want to see. Plus there is always the magical question of where the 32-40 grain bullet will come down and who or what it hits.

I could be wrong, but I think I am smelling "Gun-kid", "Andy" (From other forums) or someone who sounds an awful lot like him showing up on here. His tales are as legendary as "Gecko45"...
You just have to ask yourself, is he telling you the truth based on knowledge and experience or spreading internet myths?

Like I said last week, he's working up to the big reveal of an assault wheelbarrow and a debarked chihuahua. Although, he hasn't posted since about an hour after he joined, so it looks like just a drive-by trolling.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

"Drive by Trolling", OR...

We're kinda an established group that doesn't kow-tow to "internet fights" because we realize winning an arguement on the internet is like winning the special olympics... even if you win? Yer still special. :hysterical:
