Damn nice, short action? What caliber, 7.62x51? What optic are you running?

TAC-21 MOD1

Sweet piece. Ive always liked these rifles and may end up with one be years end. Either this or a SCAR-H, to be used with iron sight. I lucked up and got an extraordinarily accurate Mosin Nagant that I may end up building into a scoped rifle.

Though when I see a 21 it makes me think I need it.
I had a SCAR 17 and 16. I also had a bunch of Glocks and a couple H&K pistols. Oh and a DDM4, but I sold everything when our government told me these dangerous tools can actually hurt someone. Apparently they grow legs and go on killing sprees.

It is heavy, but weight helps with the recoil. Would not want to do rifle drills with it.

We have SCAR-H's and ACR's where I work. I am not a fan. Big, Clunky, personally if you are looking for a 5.56mm just trick out a AR-15 you will get more bang for your buck, as well as the look you want.

I went ahead with the SCAR-H. Or 17 in 7.62x51 (308). It's worth every penny and then some. Got it yesterday and I'm super stoked to hit the range soon. I already have a M15 that's decked out in 5.56, but my time in combat arms just reinforced the untrust I hold in a .223. I'll post a thread on it soon. I looked at the SCAR-L or 16 in 5.56 trim for a moment, but I went in for the Big H and walked out with it. :)

I have been contemplating the thought of a 'battle rifle' in 762/308. I might go the M1a route though instead of plunking down the $$$ for a SCAR.

The M1 is an awesome machine. Very reliable and extremely accurate. About as rugged as an Abrams tank too. I was close to getting one before I got the SCAR.
