Two men face multiple charges tonight resulting from an early morning “road rage” incident in Franklin County.
The incident took place on Route 116, just north of Boonesmill Road, around 3 a.m. Saturday (April 28, 2012). Later Saturday afternoon (April 28, 2012), state police located and apprehended the Volkswagen’s driver and passenger. The driver, Eric M. Dillon, 24, of Lynchburg, was charged with shooting into an occupied vehicle and shooting from an occupied vehicle. Dillon was released on bond.
The passenger, Benjamin T. Wray, 22, of Roanoke, was also charged with shooting from an occupied vehicle, shooting into an occupied vehicle and for reckless handling of a firearm. Wray is being held at the Franklin County Jail on bond.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing at this time.
