CZ pistols
CZ pistols
Anyone out there know why many retailers seem to be out of CZ pistols and their stock doesn't seem to be coming in? I've been waiting for over a month for Bud's or kygunco or cheaperthandirt to restock with CZ 75 pistols and it doesn't seem to be happening. Is CZ moving factory locations or something?
Re: CZ pistols
Because they are really good guns and people want them!, I'd love to have a CZ-75 any version, even the Tangfolio.....maybe especially those, they are cheaper. A gun store in Indiana, where I just moved from had a CZ-75 pre-B for $415, but I just didn't have the money....dang it

Re: CZ pistols
They have some new models coming out this year would be my guess. I want to get my hands on the long-slide 9mm.
Re: CZ pistols
I was going to buy a cz-82 next, but I heard its a living nightmare to takedown and reassemble and the Makarov may be better buy, anyone have any input on that?
Re: CZ pistols
I'm sorry I did it now and won't ever do it again, but I traded two pistods at a LGS to buy a Glock 29 SF. Being a "For Profit" store, they offer no more than 40 percent street value for trade ins, even though the gun may be in new condition. I traded a CZ75 compact and a S&W Model 10 and am too ashamed to say how much I got for them. I traded the CZ75 because it did not have a decocker and I just could not get used to carrying it condition 1. I know people will say it is just as safe as carrying my Glock with a chambered round, but I just did not like seeing that hammer cocked back with the gun holstered, even with the safety on! And yes I realize that I can lower the hammer, but that's asking for trouble in my book.
So I called that LGS a few minutes ago and the salesman said he has not seen a CZ75 in a while...hmmm...wonder what happened to my gun? I Loved the way it felt in my hands - will definitely get another one some day I hope, with a decocker of course.

Damascus Guns, Damascus, VA has some CZ's, or at least they did at the last SGK Gunshow in Hampton a few weeks ago.

Re: CZ pistols
I bought my 85 Combat direct from the factory and had them do the hammer change and spring tuning before it was shipped out. I was going to have that done regardless of where I bought it, so it actually turned out to be nearly the same price since I didn't have to pay for shipping there and back.
Re: CZ pistols
I got a CZ-82 for Christmas, and I have not had any problems taking it apart or putting it together. My Tokarev, on the other hand, comes apart easily enough but is a real SOB to reassemble.Kreutz wrote:I was going to buy a cz-82 next, but I heard its a living nightmare to takedown and reassemble and the Makarov may be better buy, anyone have any input on that?
Re: CZ pistols
My dad had a Sphinx in .40 and it fit my hand like a glove, then one day at a range a guy let me shoot his CZ-75 9mm....that sealed the deal.... I want one really bad......now just get a job,get a place to live, and pay down some bills.....oh well some day!

Re: CZ pistols
"Where are the CZs?" Seems to be a popular question across the internet. High quality, reasonable cost = scarcity.
