M95 Stutzen carbine vs Nagant Carbine?

Anyone own or fired both? I know both have serious recoil, my historical interests lie in the Axis circa Great War, so theres that, but performance beats nostalgia. Other than a slightly larger cartridge and the novel straight pull in the Stutzen, is there anything to really differentiate the two?

I'm not familar with the M95, But I do know it is a Mannlicher design, meaning it is Clip Feed with the Clip dropping out the bottom of the Magazine once the last round is chambered. You already mentioned the Straight Pull Bolt design, I'm not sure how that would compare to say a Swiss K31 as far as smoothness of operation goes.
As far as Caliber goes one over the other, I imagine the differences would be minor, I know ammo is somewhat hard to come by for the M95 and pricey when you do, Then you also need a source of the above mentioned Clips for the gun to work properly, otherwise you have a single shooter.
I thought of buying one, But I really don't want to start another whole New Caliber to buy for, I have noticed they are starting to get pricey in of themselves, But still affordable. Other than the odd ball caliber I think they will be worth more than a Mosin if you are looking at strictly from a collecting standpoint, I don't know the figures, But I do know less M95's were made than Mosin Nagants.

I got the Mannlicher (yet I have Nagant ammo laying around with no Nagant rifle; how does that even happen?).

The sights remind me of a grenade launcher. Havent had time to clean it up, got the bayonet off ebay for half what the dealer wanted, I already see a huge problem in acquiring the clips; haven't found them anywhere yet.

The ammo is pricey too, best I can do is $1.14/rd but I have nowhere to shoot a rifle yet so thats not too much of a deterrent.

Once I get it all spiffy it'll look good above the mantle at least. Got it from SOG and its in very good condition.

If you lack the patience of a saint do not buy this gun.

The weird straight pull has a rotating bolt mechanism that is almost impossible to put back together after cleaning. Your timing and the position of the extractor must be perfect.

I own a Mosin. If you like crappy ergonomics, a straight bolt handle, and like having to move your head and ruin your cheek weld to work the bolt, get the Mosin! My SMLE is a much better gun than the hex receiver 91/30 I have. It's shorter than the 1917 Enfield and the MN I have, and I can empty the mag faster than I can with the MN. And it only cost me $200 in December. The only thing the MN has going for it is cheap surplus ammo and a $99 price tag.

I'll put in my two cents; the mosin, clunky as they are will probably give less grief. Perhaps they have just been worn out, but the m95s I tried were all very stiff and I ended up with a bruised palm from slapping the bolt to unlock it.
I think the down range results should not be too different.

Also remember the rear sight is different. Here is how I get on target with my M95. With sight set to lowest I aim at the ground about 3 to 4 feet below center and it still hits high. I use the man size targets from cheaper than dirt. It can be frustrating if you don't know the way to use the m95 rear sight.

It is a fun gun to shoot. As to clips I get a box of ww2 ammo which comes on stripper clips and that is how I get those. Check with e gun parts(numrich) and libertytree collectors for parts and accesories for you ww2 firearm needs.
