Not sure if i want to keep the bipod. A little close to the vertical grip, but it stays for now.
Re: My new M400!
What optic is that? I am looking for a reasonably priced red dot - thinking about a Primary Arms. No sense in spending $400-$500 on what I'll be using it for.

It's the Aimpoint Comp M2. However I basically stole it from the guy for $200.meak99 wrote:What optic is that? I am looking for a reasonably priced red dot - thinking about a Primary Arms. No sense in spending $400-$500 on what I'll be using it for.

Already planning on it. Trying to figure out if I want to go Troy or Magpul.jrswanson1 wrote:Nice stick. I would suggest you move it up on the receiver and put a backup sight behind it.
Re: My new M400!
If you wait a few days, maybe longer, I can give you some input on the Magpul. I'm going with the MBUS rear, but I'm still waiting on my upper assembly stuff to come in.

The MBUS rear is good at what it's for, being a backup to your optic. I've had them on a few of my ARs, they work great, but they shouldn't be a primary. I haven't broken any of mine in the two years I've had them.

If you were to use irons as primary, what would you go with for rear? Standard carry handle with sights built in?jrswanson1 wrote:The MBUS rear is good at what it's for, being a backup to your optic. Re: My new M400!
I'd get the DD fixed rear sight over a fold up rear. They're lighter than the carry handle versions.meak99 wrote:If you were to use irons as primary, what would you go with for rear? Re: My new M400!
Got the Magpul Rear MBUS today. Definitely a back-up sight... plastic, seems kinda flimsy. I trust the material they use in the MBUS is as durable as the PMAG materials, so I am going to mount it when I get my upper and use it for a while. I've not seen anything bad about them, but as others said, you may want to consider something a little more heavy duty for primary use, I certainly would.MWhiteDesigns wrote:That would be much appreciated!
