CHP Permit paperwork

Post by DW44VH »

In filling out the paperwork I noticed that it says "Complete and notarized applications for Resident Permits shall be forwarded to the circuit court of the county or city in which the applicant resides. The applicant should consult with the court authorities for instruction and guidance specific to his or her application."

Bottom line, I need to get this application notarized as I read it.

Any particular office at the courthouse for application submittal?

Thanks

In Caroline County, that just meant waiting to sign it until you are in front of the clerk. No separate notarization necessary.

I just had mine notarized at the sheriffs office when they ran my background.
Loudoun County is only taking 3 weeks to get them out too.

That's the thing - each county is different. Step 1 in Caroline is take it to the clerk of the circuit court, then go to sherriff's for finger prints. Not sure where OP is at, but it couldn't hurt to call the clerk's office to clarify.

Here in James City County,
Go to Court Clerk 1st, pay $50.00 then go the Sheriff's Office give paper work and get finger printed.
