I finally got my SBR to the range for the first time

I want to thank Ashby Arms for helping me out with my SBR project I was able to get to the range for the first time with it on Monday and it was a blast. The crew at Ashby Arms is a great bunch of people and they are great to work with. They helped me custom build this rifle. I am also planning on sending my barrel out to be dimpled to further lighten it up, as it sits with a 30 round magazine it roughly weighs in at 9 pounds.

A buddy and I put 400 rounds through it yesterday and didnt have any malfunctions. I didnt have any heavy weight ammo to try out but with 55gr PMC XTAC 5.56 ammo I was able to get a 2in 10 round group from 100 yards with the Aimpoint. It was definatly a much needed range trip we did some live fire team movement practice and plenty of snap shooting and a couple pounds of tannerite. This SBR is so much easier to run the my 16in heavy barrel XCR that I am used to running, Im definatly liking this new rifle and cant wait for the final parts to show up and to get my suppressor.
