Self introduction
Hello all, I have been a member of this forum for about a week, but have not taken the time to properly introduce myself. My name is Richard, I am a small business owner in Gloucester, as well as a resident of Gloucester.
I have wanted to carry a firearm for a while, but could not find one I was comfortable with. I bought a Beretta 32 auto Tomcat to carry, but was very uncomfortable shooting it, so I was not very proficient, and decided it would be safer to not carry.
A few weeks ago, while selling my Tomcat at the Hampton gun show, I found a Makarov 9X18 mm pistol. I had not heard of Makarovs, but asked a few friends who were familiar and I decided to buy it. It shoots like a dream, is very accurate, and very easy and comfortable to carry.
Aside from that, I am also a very strong advocate of the Second Amendment, and rarely mind setting people straight. This is one reason I open carry, to elicit questions from people. Of course, when I am in a hurry, I may decide to conceal (after getting my CCP, that is) just so that I can get in and out of stores quicker.

Welcome, Richard!
I lived in "Guinea" for about a year in the early '90's. Liked it out there.
