I just bought a new Glock 19 (Pics to come) and I am wondering if anyone has tried the .22 conversion kit from them. It is pretty pricey so I was wondering if it is worth it or should I save my money?

The price difference between 22LR and 9mm will amortize the conversion kit in about 1500 rounds, based on average prices of not-expensive ammo. If you reload your 9mm, it will take 3000 rounds, more-or-less.
1500 rounds is a year of going to the range every week or two, and shooting 50 rounds each time.
But this will NOT be giving you any practice in using the Glock practically with 9mm.....i.e. recoil, reengaging the target, etc.

I have one for my G23 and think its great. Its biggest advantage is you can work with your existing Glock frame and trigger set up, and practice for a lot less. Slide locks open on the last round, so you can also practice emergency reloads (if you get an extra .22 mag). Turslops is correct about the practicality side of course. If you do any teaching, you've got a .22 training gun as well, without the hassle of a second gun (though there are pro's and con's to that argument). Is it worth it? Has been for me.
