I used to do IPSC shooting ~20yrs ago with a S&W 686 .357 (2.5"). Not much shooting since then, but hubby & I just applied for our CCW permits and bought a couple handguns a few weeks ago. XDM .40 Compact for him and XD .40 Subcompact for me. We've been to the range a couple of times with the 40's to get some practice in. Looking forward to getting a lot more range time under our belts
I have to admit, I'm not quite sure yet if the XD is the right gun for me for CC. It's still a bit, for lack of a better word, "chunky" for my taste. I'll start a new thread on that subject tho
