New S&W 15-22

Post by fuze »

I picked up an AR15 about a month ago, and after blowing atleast 1000rounds threw it already, I needed a cheaper gun to have fun with. I have a Savage MKII .22 but my fiancee shoots it when were at the range, so I needed myself a .22. I almost went with a GSG-5 but I felt uneasy after reading some of the reviews of if falling apart, and recalls galore.

So I went with the M&P 15-22 and she is sexy ! :pistol: Im gonna take her out tomo to test, but here she is for now !

Thanks. Since this will be the gun I take to the range every time I go, I will probably put a few accessories on it, like a bi-pod and nice scope.

For now I am working on the lettering and it's coming along nicely.

I put over 300rounds of CCI Stingers through it today and only had 1 FTF, and it was on the last magazine of the day, hah. That is pretty incredible from a .22lr. The 15-22 meets all of my expectations from a rifle.

Iron sights are dead on, I didn't adjust anything and hit tomatoes at 150yards. A bi-pod has been installed already so I only need to save up for a nice scope now. I'm going to get a decent scope to put on it, 300$ range, and take the iron sights off.

All in all this gun is the most fun gun I own, hands down. I need to get more magazines. :tommygun: I Haven't been this excited over a gun in years.

Cool, do they run bulk ammo alright?

So far, yes. I've put a box of Federal 550 bulk through it, and 2 Winchester 555 boxes with only 3-4 dud bullets. The gun doesn't jam or FTE, it is flawless in performance so far with 1500+ rounds this week. That includes shooting in yesterdays rain.
